Care and Cleaning of Cutting and Charcuterie Boards
Wood cutting boards should be cleaned with warm soap and water. Cleaning soon after use prevents moisture from potentially penetrating the wood and causing bacteria growth. If the board begins appears dull or dry treat it with a food safe board treatment, often called board butter, such as our Jory Designs Board Treatment. Wooden kitchen utensils should never be put in the dishwasher as the extreme humidity and temperature variations will damage wood.
